I’m Osano Fumiko, the representative of Japanese Culture Communication Research Institute, which operates “THE LAKE Kawaguchiko-kurashi.”
“THE LAKE Kawaguchiko-kurashi” has been launched as one of the new businesses of our local brand, “Kawaguchiko-kurashi.”
Lake Kawaguchi has many tourist attractions and is popular with foreign tourists, but there are still many hidden charms that are unknown to the public.
In order to spread the appeal of Lake Kawaguchi not only in Japan but also around the world, we are developing the “Kawaguchiko-kurashi” brand.
To date, they have undertaken a variety of projects, including collaborative projects with local businesses, pop-up stores, operating an online shop that utilizes resources from Lake Kawaguchi, and developing the “Victoria Sandwich Cake,” a cake filled with jam made from cowberry, a precious alpine plant found on Mount Fuji.
And now, we are launching our first-ever lodging business, “THE LAKE Kawaguchiko-kurashi.”
Our company is a certified business operator for the “Yamanashi Sosei Public-Private Partnership Vacant House Utilization Project.”
By utilizing vacant houses in the Nagahama district of Fujikawaguchiko-machi as a complex facility, we hope to raise awareness of the attractive lifestyle in Nagahama, while creating a related population and encouraging people to relocate.
The idea of starting “THE LAKE Kawaguchiko-kurashi” lodging business was based on this vacant house utilization project.
